Enjoy the gorilla trekking tours in Uganda and this can be done in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park or the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in the southern part of Uganda, Kisoro District.
Day one is Arrival at Entebbe Airport where you will be welcomed and transferred to your accommodation in Entebbe. Overnight at the Boma.
Day 2 Early in the morning drop off at Entebbe International Airport for a domestic flight to Western Uganda. From Kihihi Airstrip you will be transferred by road (1 hour) to the home of the endangered mountain gorillas. Check in at the lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to relax and prepare yourself for the next day. Or go for a (guided) forest walk for a first introduction with Uganda’s unique flora and fauna. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs or any other lodge of your choice.
Day 3 early morning after breakfast, head to the headquarters for briefing then a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. But it will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience. We shall continue to Lake Mburo for a wildlife experience.
Day 4 Early start of the day as we will go for a nature walk guided by a ranger. Lake Mburo is the only national park where you can experience a safari on foot. It is possible to do a night game drive with high chances of seeing leopards. Lake Mburo is one of the 2 national parks with zebras and the only national park with impalas in Uganda. Return to the lodge for breakfast and with a game drive on our way out we depart the protected
Day 5: Game Drive and afternoon boat cruise. After a cup of tea/coffee, go for a prior to dawn game drive to catch up with the early risers and predator returning to their conceal outs. Expect an adventurous encounter with Lions, hyenas, and herds of elephants, buffaloes, jackals, bush pigs, bush bucks and many more. After lunch, gather your nerves for a fantastic boat cruise along the Kazinga channel to see animals like Hippos, huge Nile crocodiles, Elephants and Buffaloes seen basking along the showers. Bird life is prolific with over 600 species. Departure with a flight to Entebbe.
