Four Seasons Serengeti Safari Lodge is set deep in the heart of the world’s most celebrated wildlife reserves, where the Big Five that is the lion, the leopard, the buffalo, the elephant and the rhinoceros – run free on the endless, untamed landscape while on your Tanzania tour. Perched on a series of elevated platforms and walkways, our Lodge sits next to an animal watering hole, where you can watch a family of elephants stop for their morning drink as you sip your own out on your room’s private balcony.

The lodge has been designed to blend completely into the living landscape. A series of traditional domed ‘rondavels’ are widely spaced throughout the grounds, which are cooled by groves of acacia trees and watered by sparkling streams. On the very edge of the ridge is a ‘vanishing horizon’ pool, which looks out over the ‘endless plains’ after which the Serengeti is named.

The 77 luxury guest rooms offered at the Four Seasons Serengeti range from simple facilities to the Presidential Villa with suites and smaller luxury villas to choose from. All are designed to showcase the great plain right outside, with expansive windows and large private terraces many of them with their own sparkling dipping pool and each featuring the highest standard of welcoming, wonderfully decorated comfort. Amenities from Wi-Fi, air conditioners and flat-screen televisions to pillows provided cheerfully and quickly as required.

And after a dip in the infinity pool, or a visit to the fitness (or the business) centre, dining at the Lodge is a refreshing joy, either at the Maji Bar and Terrace, the Sun downer Bar, the Boma Grill, Kula’s Restaurant, in your suite, or on a catered picnic during a game drive. Boma Grill offers a fantastic dining experience unlike any other. The seating is circular around an open fire pit. Guests enjoy traditional cuisine which includes grilled meals made with the best ingredients.

The lodge welcomes children, and has many programs and activities, awaiting them, including amongst the many is the membership in the Kijana Klub, which has its own extremely well-equipped space in the Lodge’s main building.

Guests traveling with one child between the ages of 2 and ten years; an extra bed can be placed into the following room types: Savannah Room, Savannah Room Water Hole View, Horizon Room and Horizon Room Water Hole View. Activities, as well as facilities for children, are available to make for an unforgettable safari adventure.

Each of the spacious rooms features a balcony with direct views out across the savannah or the neighbouring waterhole. The contemporary African-design rooms include four-poster beds and are furnished with local textiles and artwork. Rooms offer king or two twin beds, a refrigerated bar and a flat-screen TV and a full bathroom with separate shower and deep soaking tub provide all the comforts of home.

Each of the suites include offer an elevated open-air terrace with direct views over the Serengeti plains, complemented by a private pool. With a contemporary African-design with earth colours and wood, the generous indoor living areas include a master en-suite bedroom, lounge area with a double trundle bed and two full bathrooms, one with deep soaking tub, plus an outdoor shower, making them ideal for families.

The luxurious residential-style villa accommodations provide added space and privacy for families and groups of friends, with infinity-edge plunge pools and elevated terraces gazing out across the savannah. With a contemporary African-design with earth colours and wood, the generous indoor living areas include one, two or three bedrooms, lounge area with full bathrooms.

Spectacular bush veld views can be enjoyed from the magnificent outdoor swimming pool. Relaxing health and beauty spa treatments can be enjoyed in one of the exclusive spa pavilions.

The Lodge offers exciting activities such as safari drives, hot-air balloon rides over the vast African plains, scenic picnics in the bush veld, as well as safari photography classes. The lodge Discovery Centre offers a fantastic place to learn about African history and culture.
